Party Plan Pat: Home Party Consultant Mothers Day Tribute

May 11th, 2008 · No Comments

THE JOY OF MOTHERHOOD “A SINGLE GALS PERSPECTIVE

Those of the Judaeo-Christian persuasion, have no doubt stumbled upon the scriptural passage (1 Tim. 2: 15) that hints on the role of Motherhood. Paul says of women, “Notwithstanding, she shall be saved in childbearing…” I currently do not have any children, so I guess the jury is still out. I have had the priviledge to work with children for most my life in the capacity of baby-sitter, Nanny and most recently as a teen counselor.

I would not trade these experiences for anything. That said I am not quite sure that I am ready to rear my own children. The joy of motherhood for me has been the fact that at the end of the day when I was done with the children, I could give them back.

One of the most touching and endearing quotes on motherhood that I have come across were written by Danielle Bean. Ms. Bean says, “Motherhood is a kind of crucifixion, a dying to self. From suffering and death come Resurrection. And from the struggles of motherhood joy, beauty and new life emerge.”

Star Wars According To A 3 yr old!

THE OTHER MOM!

Many a writer has explored the issue of Working Moms vs. Work/Stay-At-Home-Moms! It seems very simple to me; live and let live. Want to work? Work! Want to stay home? Stay home!

Gwendolen Gross, author of The Other Mother, shares her thoughts saying, “I wrote this novel with one narrator who is a stay-at-home mom and the other a working mom to accomplish something I thought non-fiction couldn’t. What I wanted was to be able to stand in shoes of both moms, in hopes of illustrating how we judge each other unnecessarily, and understanding, myself, how important it is to respect other people’s methods and choices even if they don’t match my own.”

THE OTHER MOTHER-A MUST READ!
MAMA, I LOVE YOU!

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, YOU MAKE HAPPY WHEN SKIES ARE GREY!

THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE!

I don’t know about you, but I think if I had to spend my days listening to Stars Wars according to a 3 yr. old or A Korean Kid sings “Hey Jude,” what bliss! I know better, being a mother is a huge task, made sweeter by the moments such as these; that are the exceptions!

I have great admiration for Oprah Winfrey. I am particularly pleased with the shows that she does that focus on motherhood, the good, the bad and the ugly! I am including a snippet of one of these shows, that has been controversial at best! MOTHERHOOD MYTHS can you relate?

The experience of motherhood varies greatly depending upon location. The organization Save the Children has ranked the countries of the world, and found that Scandinavian countries are the best places to be a mother, whereas countries in sub-Saharan Africa are the worst.[3] OK TIME OUT! I was raised in Africa…hmm I do not know what criteria we are using here to judge. However, my mother was swell and I turned very well if I should say so myself!

Being a mother is no easy task. I don’t know why, but moms seem to have to teach the same things over and over again…I guess we are just not quick on the uptake. I bow in the presence of greatness!

MOMSENSE-The Mom Song

MOMSENSE

As a single woman, knowing that one day I will join the ranks of mom, I know a little of the struggle women face. Some days I am convinced that I am going to be a homemaker and Stay/Work-At-Home-Mom! Other days independence hits with a vengeance and I cannot stomach the thought of changing diapers, wiping boggies and jungle gym! Arrgh! How hard it is for those actually wrestling with these issues I shudder to think!

I love my mummy. I am grateful that she gave up everything so that I could be! I thank her for believing in me. I thank your for choosing to be a mother!

May 9th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Hello!

Recently, through the power of attraction, I was led to a phenomenal Party Plan Heavyweight!

I met Jackie Ulmer on the Internet. I followed the hot, candle scent trail and you know what? It let me to one of the largest, highly under utilized, social networking sites in the world! Imagine meeting, a 6-Figure Income Earner On MySpace.

There is luck, and there is providence (when the divine power of sheer self-will meets attraction to the very cause that you seek)!

My attraction to Jackie was 4-fold, I kept running into her as I did research on how to be an effective Home Party Plan business builder using the internet. I kept asking questions and requesting that I be put in the path of those women that could shed more light to the Home Party Plan vs. The Internet dilemma!

So why was I attracted to Jackie Ulmer:
1. She is a woman
2. She is a mother
2. She is a Home Party Plan, Successful Business Owner
3. She is an Internet Marketer, Coach & Consultant!

Jackie has graciously agreed to be featured on this blog. She is an Internet Marketing Coach, who loves to host, Home Parties as well. We will have much to learn.

Many Thanks to You Jackie Ulmer, Mia Bella Candles, Platinum Director.

My2Scents - Jackie Ulmer: 6-Figure Mia Bella Candles, Home Party Consultant With A

May 8th, 2008 · No Comments

So, let’s cut right to the chase. My name is Jackie Ulmer, and I am the first Platinum Director in our company. This is our top position in the company.

Why is this important? Well, it’s not, other than to let you know that I am serious about this business, and serious about coaching you on how to be successful with our company, should you decide that it is right for you.

Hi! My name is Jackie Ulmer. My background is similar to many, maybe even yours. I had a bright, promising career in airline marketing. I enjoyed traveling the world, a good income and an expense account.

Although I had fun, my time really wasn’t my own. I had a boss and an alarm clock.

When it was time to start a family, I struggled with the same decision as millions of women and men.

Should I go back to work, leaving my children in someone else’s care?

Or should I give up my career and raise my children myself?

The choice was simple. My family came first. But, it didn’t stop me from wanting to continue my career or from wanting to create an incredible lifestyle.

There had to be a way I could work from home, earn a great income and still be with my children.

I had read numerous stories of people that were doing just that….working from home, raising their children themselves and finding a balance doing both.

An MLM / Network Marketing business was the last thing on my mind and the last thing I was looking for. I can’t tell you why for certain, but I knew those things were bad and something to be avoided at all costs. Network Marketing was the one thing that seemed to fit the profile of exactly what I was looking for –

· Flexibility

· The Ability to Create More Than a “Hobby” Income

· Working With People

· Furthering my Management Skills

After educating myself, I quickly determined that I was uneducated about what MLM and Network Marketing truly is, and I was about to let my own ignorance prevent me from taking advantage of the one home based business opportunity that fit my criteria perfectly.

So, I jumped in. I read every piece of information I could get my hands on and attended every training.

That was January, 1994, and boy, we’ve come a long way baby!

Today, Warren Buffet owns a Network Marketing company. Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad) and Donald Trump have written a book extolling its virtues.

I decided to join the ranks of those who were successful. I made a commitment to educate myself on what was out there, select something that worked for me and my family, apply the time, dedication and perseverance that I knew it would take and reap the rewards!!

I wanted something in an industry that is fast-growing, recession proof, and that people use and want. I also wanted something that would provide an on-going residual income. You know, something that would pay me over and over for the work that I do one time!

Finally, I wanted to create multiple streams of income. I had a growing fascination with the Internet, its potential and the idea that one could make an incredible income online, while at home in blue jeans!

One thing I know for sure, the Internet is here to stay and it has made the reality of having your own successful home based business better than ever.

Combine that power with the fact that 96% of people polled want to own their own business and most want to work from home!

I began my research and, quite honestly, haven’t stopped. After investigating a lot of things, I settled on the ones that work for me!

You need to know right now that it is possible for you to build multiple streams of income online. There’s a very precise way to do it, and I will teach you how, should you decide to partner with me!

More Home Party Plan Games- Yippeee!

May 6th, 2008 · No Comments

Hey Home Party Gals!

In my FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2008 Post, Now That You Have A Home Party Hostess…What to do? I said ” To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is never to have arrived. Words to live by if I ever heard any! Be sure to arrive at your hostess’s home early on the day of the in home party show. Set everything up and have fun! Give yourself a good 5 minutes to just take deep breaths. Visualize to materialize!

I have indicated that in home show party games are a great way to break the ice, set you apart from the run of the mill home party sales representatives. Rollo May, distinguished psychiatrist, said that, “The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it is conformity.” There you have it, the trouble with the world today conformity. Home Party Consultants acting like every other home party sales representative without knowing why, without knowing where they are going!

BUT…You, you are a cut above the rest! Following are a few home party games that you can employ to get the party started!

Early Bird Home Party Game -

Being the home party consultant superstars, we all get to our home parties early to set up, right? Now, while you setting up, as the guests arrive, hand them a piece of paper and have them write each letter of the alphabet down the left-side; Tell them that you are playing a game only for the early birds. Have them fill in each letter with the name of a lady that they know. Tell them that whoever fills out the entire alphabet will win a prize. Of course, give this list to everyone who arrives. You could wait a few minutes after the last person arrives to really give her a chance to fill out her list.

Go up to the front of the room and announce that it is time to start the home party: Tell everyone to write their name at the top of their list. Then, ask who filled out the whole thing. Most people did not because of those Js, Qs, and Zs, (anmes like jessinia, zita etc are few and far between) but, if they did, give them be sure to have a small prize ready. Now, ask who filled out at least twenty names. Have these people stand. Woo Hoo!!! They are excited because they think they did better than everyone else. Tell the home party plan hostess, “Now you don’t have to worry about getting bookings tonight, because all of these people are going to book a home party show for you, and they have even prepared their guest list!” There are some funny comments usually made, but, some of those ladies will book, and give a reward to those that do!

I recommend that you use said home party game sparingly. You do not want to get the reputation of being the home party sales reprenstative who uses ambush marketing to get home party plans sales! Do the words oh no here she comes sound familiar?

What Country is it? -
1. Popular bird at Thanksgiving (Turkey)
2. What you are when you shiver (Chile)
3. A cook uses it when frying (Greece)
4. Sounds cold (Iceland)
5. Easy to break (China)
6. Always wanting to eat (Hungary)
7. Always in a hurry (Iran or Russia)
8. A singing bird (Canary Island)
9. Never turns brown (Greenland)
10. Place to where straw hats ( Mexico or Panama)

Home Party Plan Parties: A Small Rant

May 5th, 2008 · No Comments

Hi There?

Ha ha ha ha! I could have sat here and written this article as one who has also been on both sides of the home party plan scene (you home party consultant host with the most/ home party sales representative & home party attendee- because if I didn’t attend, I just wasn’t a good friend guilt trip!)

However, Deborah Ng, of http://www.sheknowsparties.com ( a blog on general party plan etiquette from birthday, to turning 50), does a magnificent job of telling the story of the person on the other side, you know the one that no one talks until you get involved in a home party plan opportunity?

Again this is my one woman mission for objectivity. After isn’t this blot titled Home Party Plan Success Tips? Well to b successful you must understand consumer psychology and I surely want to help you!

Warning: The blog post you are about to read is completely one-sided. I’m sure there are people who enjoy attending party plan parties. I am not one of them. I am also sure there are plenty of lovely people earning a living through party plans. I harbor no ill-will and mean no offense.

I’m not a fan of party plans. Mind you, I don’t know anything about the selling part. I’m only speaking on behalf of a person asked to attend party plans. I’m sure a lot of work goes into the behind the scenes of the party plan party, and I don’t wish to minimize what the salesperson goes through. I kind of resent home party plan parties and here’s why.

I enjoy going to parties. I like to socialize and talk with my friends and meet people. I enjoy making and trying new foods and learning new things. What I resent is when people who barely say hello to me in the real world all of a sudden send me an invitation to attend their home party plan party. Hello? I barely know you. You didn’t invite me to your Christmas gathering or backyard barbecue, but I’m good enough for a sales pitch? And what was your name again, anyway?

My other issue with the home party plan is that I can’t always buy things. My hostess will always say, “just come for the fun, you don’t need to buy anything.” I always feel obligated.

My idea of a good time is not listening to someone go on about the joys of reuseable plastic containers or overpriced candles. The last home party plan party I attended to was for jewelry. The guests were all about my age - mid 40’s. The jewelry was all funky and hip. I liked some of it, but most of it was appropriate for teens and those in their early twenties. When the hostess passed around the “high end jewelry” catalog, she mentioned how all the celebrities like that particular line. I asked which celebrities. The hostess named a few, “Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton…” I asked if any 40-something celebrities wore the jewelry and she said “not that I know of but I’m sure there are some.” I wasn’t trying to be difficult, but what ever happened to knowing your audience? As a forty-something work at home mom whose idea of a night out is coffee with some friends, why would I want to buy products geared towards twenty something poster children for bad behavior?

If you’re having the girls over for some wine and cheese, or coffee and cake, I’m in. Indeed my friends are always welcome to sit on my back deck and eat some of my husband’s smoked ribs and other mouth-watering barbecue fare, but I promise to never invite you to my home to sell you something.

Now…I know this is a completely one-sided post. If there are any home party plan sellers or attenders who would like to guest post and give the other side of the story, please contact me and I’ll be happy to give you a sounding board.

Now there you have it! For more on how to improve commnuncation and be inclusive of others and for more fun friendly home parties, CLICK HERE!

The *Secret* To Converting Home Party Plan Attendees To Mega Home Party Plan Sales!

May 4th, 2008 · No Comments

Oh my, how pretty you look today!

How did you feel as you read that? Did you blush? Did it bring a smile to your face? Did you agree with me or were sitting there thinking to yourself how does she even know? Have you figured out the *SECRET* yet? Today I am going to indulge and veer a little off course, but stay with me it will be worth your while!

Have you ever been crabbing?

Apparently it’s fairly difficult to catch the speedy crabs but remarkably easy to keep track of them once they are caught because of their instinct to “pull each other down.” Once you have at least two crabs, you just put them in a shallow pan or bucket. A single crab could easily climb out, but if there is another crab there, he will reach up with his claw and pull the first crab back down before he can get up over the edge.

They don’t boost each other up or assist each other in their frantic quest to escape and regain their freedom. They do just the opposite. They pull each other back as though they can’t tolerate any of their number rising above their level or escaping without them.

Recently I found myself on a blog that had some content relative to the home party companies. So you can imagine I was very thrilled to find someone else as passionate about home party business. I went ahead and posted a comment, that made no reference whatsoever to what I was doing. Now you see when you post a comment, it can be traced back to its origin. The owner of said blog related to home party plans tracked me back and then proceeded to edit my comments such that anyone who read it would not be able to track it back to me (for obvious reason I was viewed as a competing entity). I only found out because I visit the blog, located a piece that was very insightful and wanted to post only to discover that I had been blocked. It said after I tried to publish my comment; DISCARDED! ha ha ha. I took it as a great complement!

This instinct, of course, is not limited to crabs. It is an unfortunate part of human nature to envy those who climb above us and to pull them down literally or verbally or at least within our own critical and judgmental minds.

You know people are more likely to be persuaded to say “yes” when you make them feel good about themselves, their work, and their accomplishments. People will do almost anything for you when you treat them with respect and dignity and show them that their feelings are important.

I have a MacBook for a computer. Great gadget I might add! 2 days ago, I had to go to the mall to get it fixed. Outside of the apple store, there was a relatively handsome young man selling those ornaments the move when the wind blows creating these mesmerizing illusions. No doubt he picked up in my fascination. He stopped me cold in my tracks as I was trying to avoid him, clever chap! Then he proceeded to stroke my ego! What he said to me is this, I really need your opinion. Then he bore his wares asking which I liked best and why. He made several comparisions, each time never failing to ask what my thoughts were. He even asked me how I felt about the price point! Ok he was good. I knew what he was doing and I choose to play along, I wanted to learn. You see once a student always a student. I must learn something new each day and I was well taught!

Not only was he soliciting my opinion, but he hang on to every word I uttered and used all the information that I shared to make a sale. It wasn’t about him, it was all about me. In this blog you hear over and over again me saying that people love to buy. People love to buy even more from people they like it is just that simple.

Needless to say, with my ego sufficiently stroked, I walked away with two lovely trinkets, a purchase I was happy to make because it was well earned. As as I am concerned I paid a small amount for a priceless lesson in what it means to sell without being an annoying pushy home party plan sales representative!

I studied psychology and spent a lot of time writing research papers, conducting social experiments and working with teens. I borrow heavily from that background today.

An experiment testing the effects of praise on a group of men in North Carolina was very insightful. The men received different types of comments from someone who needed a favor from them. The comments were either positive, negative, or a mixture of both. As you might expect, the person giving the positive comments was liked the best. Secondly, this conclusion held true even when the men knew their “complimenter” was seeking a favor. Finally, unlike the other types of comments, pure praise did not have to be accurate to work. Positive comments produced just as much liking toward the flatterer when they were untrue as when they were true. Strive to be sincere in your praise, although flattery works even when it is not sincere.

Ok the following is another Psych. 101 or 201 classic that shows the immense strength of praise. At a small college in Virginia, twenty-four students in a psychology course decided to see whether they could use compliments to change the way the women on campus dressed. For a while, they complimented all the female students who wore blue. The percentage of the female student population wearing blue rose from 25 percent to 38 percent. The researchers then switched to complimenting any woman who wore red. This caused the appearance of red on campus to double, from 11 percent to 22 percent. These results indicate that when you favorably comment on behavior, that behavior will increase. In psych. terms we call this positive reinforcement. Want a behavior to persist, speak on it. Want it to stop, don’t mention it. Now you see where most parents of teenagers get it wrong. You hate your daughters boyfriend…don’t say a thing! It will fizzle very quickly!

John Gottman, popular marriage counselor, through his many studies became so good at predicting which coouple would stay together and which ones would end up in divorce. His research indicated that one negative comment has more power than ten positive comments.

You are right. How do I know how you look like, I don’t. But I do believe that you are beautiful just the way you are, because our Creator does not make mistakes!

The home party plan success tips I share here are designed to do just that. Help you connect with your home party attendees, your party recruits and home party plan business sales customers on a personal and genuine level.

To your success!

D.I.Y. - 10 Home Party Plan Party Favors You Can Make Yourself!

May 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

Hello!

As you figured I am queen of frugal yet tasteful. One of the biggest challenges I find home party consultants face is how to say thank you to home party attendees, home party hosts & home party recruits! I found those little candle sandal party favors online and they are $.49 not bad!

Thank-you it is said, is the mark of an educated individual. You can do it many different way and home party favors are a great and stylish way to set yourself apart from the rest of the home party consultant crowd. Statistics indicate that when it comes down to it, if there are no other competing influences, people will always choose based on price difference. Want to increase home party plan sales? Want to stand apart from other home party sales representatives? I recommend party favors. They need not be expensive. They only need to be personal and thoughtful!

To set the stage for your in home party, I recommend that you have one of your lovely children hand out door prizes as your home party guests arrive! I know you have a closet chalkful of gifts, trinkets and what-nots that you have acquired over the years. Now that your own home party plan direct selling business those vases and candles that you will never use, will now come in handy. Aren’t you glad you trusted your instincts and kept the odds and end?

The other complaint I get is once you have been to one home party, you have been to them all! Like me with my Sunday School, keep the attendees interested dilemma, it falls upon you the home party business owner to keep home party goers interested! You also want to be the home party consultant that everyone is talking about! I can assure you that you will see an increase in home party sales & home party recruits!

I’m such a big fan of things you can make yourself! So much so that two years ago I saw a swedish style bed that I loved, You know what I did? Instead of buying one, I decided to do it myself. Best bed I ever had and the complements I received…! The possibilities for party favors are endless. You can still give elegant favors without breaking the bank. Behold:
10 Home Party Favors You Can Make Yourself:

1. Dish Home Party Recipes: Get a collection of your best, very easy to prepare summer recipes. If you have a home party that is involved in the food industry, this is a great way to get the word out. You can also slip your home party business catalog along with your thank-you party favor!
2. Home Party Games: As a home party consultant, have a list or stack of fun friendly home party games is a must. You are building a home party business of course to make home party sales, acquire customers and also attract home party recruits who will in turn build their own home party businesses and thereby leverage your efforts. The ideas you share will no doubt go along way in enticing people to work with you or use for their own home parties.
3. One can never go wrong with a home-made thank you card! I just love receiving those. They are time consuming so it is nice to know that someone thought me to be worth the time. I cannot emphasize enough the weight that the personal touch carries. Remember the good old days of house calls? What? Exactly! When was the last time the doctor came calling to your home? If at all possible hand deliver your home party thank-you favors!
4. Home-made salts and scrubs! I love these a lot again the personal touch! Need I say more? You can make these in bulk and voila! Home party maven in the house.
5. Cookies - Can’t go wrong with a good chocolate chip cookie. Make and decorate your own cookies. Look for cookie cutters matching your theme purses, shoes etc.
6. Hugs & Kisses - Ha ha we could all use a few of those on a regular basis! Buy some tulle bags, decorative ribbon and bags of Hershey’s Kisses & Hugs. Put several Kisses & Hugs in each bag. Your home party guests will love the sweet treat.
7. Lollipop bouquets - Give your guests lollipop bouquets tied with a decorative ribbon.
6. Gourmet coffee, tea or hot chocolate - Measure coffee, Tea or hot chocolate into decorative bags and tie with a ribbon.

10. Seeds - Give your guests decorative bags or envelopes filled with seeds.

1. Before your home party be sure to meet with the hostess personally.
- Familiarize her with home party plan products your home home party plan company carries.
- By now you have a comprehensive home party guest list. You want to pick your home party hostess’ mind. Why? The better you are able to understand the guest, the better you are able to customize your presentation. As I have said in other posts, no verbal diarrhea. Keep is short, focused and always find the best fit solutions! You know me I am the personal touch queen! Nothing and I repeat, nothing wows a crowd better than being able to cater to their needs!
- You want to be familiar with the layout of your hostess’ home. We want easy navigation. You know what I hate most? Going shopping and not being able to easily access the products I am interested in, you the cute sweater that is way high up for your short 5ft. 7 in. frame! I get turned very easily. You do not want to shoot yourself in the foot!

2. Provide your host with catalogs &/or brochures of your home party plan business. If at all possible provide samples for her to distribute to potential home party attendees! This will allow you to accomplish two things:
- No one said all your home party plan sales absolutely must come from in home parties. Some people may not be able to attend. This allows your host to take any orders on your behalf both before and after the home party!
- You want your hostess to be excited. Including her in the process is sure to help. How do I know? Word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool! Remember that great sushi restuarant that you tried way back when that you are still telling anyone who will listen about? Alright then, apply the same principle!

3. Be sure to review the order forms with your hostess so she can help customers place orders. Delegation is the secret weapon of successful home party sales representatives! You want to give as much attention to your home party attendees. This is training ground, leadership building ground and also don’t forget, you are looking for home party recruits who complement your style! Let your hostess be the seen hand to your home party planning brilliance!

4. Explain the delivery process. Some party plan companies have the merchandise delivered to the hostess who is then responsible for making sure that home party plans sales are matched with their buyers. Other home party plan companies deliver directly to the buyer whereas others deliver to the home party sales representative. Successful business are built on sound administrative principles. Build a strong admin. foundation and you are good to go!

5. Discuss plans for refreshments. Is she expected prepare refreshments or will you be bringing them? What are you going to have? I recommend the hostess make the refreshments, after all it is her home party! This gets really tricky and sticky. Your primary purpose is not to feed, but to inform and to makes sales and acquire home party recruits! Timing is of the essence, a little bite and a drink at the outset is recommended. Then go into the presentation. You want to display your home party products with the food, why? While orders are being taken others will be getting refreshments, viewing products and brochures and catalog. You want everything to be happening in a relaxed atmosphere.

6. To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is never to have arrived. Words to live by if I ever heard any! Be sure to arrive at your hostess’s home early on the day of the in home party show. Set everything up and have fun! Give yourself a good 5 minutes to just take deep breaths. Visualize to materialize!

To your home party success!

How To Throw The Worst Home Party: Making The Most Of A Home Party Business Opportunity

May 1st, 2008 · No Comments

Party Plan Pat is back!

Well, you know I love a good tongue-in-cheek! Sometimes exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally are a great way to convey a message!

How To Throw The Worst Home Party: Making The Most Of A Home Party Business Opportunity is a piece by Jim Biscardi (yes a man), now how am I doing with my quest to include our male home party sales representatives? Even for this month of May where I was only going to feature women home party consultants as a tribute to mothers? Hey, when it’s good it’s good!

Home party business opportunities have existed for decades, beginning with the all too popular Tupperware party. Everyone’s grandmother or at least mother has attended such a party, where the host invites her friends and family for an evening of fun. She greets them at the door and leads them to a living room with wall-to-wall folding chairs for the myriad of guests she has invited. Then a neatly dressed woman stands in front of the group, explaining various pieces of pastel colored plastic containers as women ooh and ahh over the wonderful guests of honor. The party ends with some sort of bar or cake and coffee or punch and a discreet area where the guests/customers can place their orders.

Since the inception of Tupperware parties, the home party business era has exploded. Women have parties to sell clothing, quick-food items, cooking utensils, and even cleaning products. Nothing is sacred from the home party, and in actuality, it takes very little to completely screw up a great party. A home party business woman or man must only make a few small faux pas to lead his customers scratching their heads.

Throwing the worst home party ever begins with the cold shoulder. When the door bell rings, the horrible host will open it, say hello, and then leave the guests standing at the door. She will not offer to take their coats but will instead just hurry them into the sitting area so they can hear the business owner’s pitch.

The presentation of a horrible party is a touchy element. The horrible home party consultant business woman will push only her most expensive product. She will briefly mention the cheaper items as a sort of starter, but her emphasis will stay on how the potential home party sales customers can utilize her higher end products.

She will also do well as a terrible home party sales representative business person by reminding her customers and her home party host’s guests of their obligation to the host. She might mention how badly the host needs the free products that their purchases will result in. Then she will once again go back to re-explaining their need for her most expensive product. If all else fails, she will shame them into purchasing the product by mentioning her own need for financial assistance and possibly some of her most recent failures of home parties.

Finally, the horrible home party plan business owner will set her ordering area up in an area where everyone can see what is occurring. Then she will call on the customers one at a time by name, demanding that they come to her so she can take their order.

We can all learn from our mistakes, and examining what makes a horrible home party may well lead us to conclude what makes a great home party business opportunity. If we want to experience home party plan success, we will certainly seek a way to avoid the same critical mistakes that the horrible home party host and business woman commit.

So how can you make the best of home party business & home party opportunities? How can you see a substansial increase in home party sales & home party recruits? I highly recommend this home party plan success resource. Also be sure to call me for your 30 min. Home Party Plan Consultation!
