Last night on a whim, I invited a number of friends over. It was an impromptu party. We played home party games of all sorts and ate and laughed and caught up and then there were the dishes and the mess that I hoped the cleaning fairy would pick up because I was too pooped to care!
We all love and enjoy a good home party; however, nobody has the time to actually plan it out, and yet nobody wants to miss the action. Many panic at the thought of inviting someone over to a home party. One of the major reasons people don’t want to host one is (if you are like me) hate to clean up after the home party, plan the party, and miss the action.
It is a little different for home party business owners! You get to plan the home party, participate and be the center of attention! 3 for 3 not bad!
If you love to plan parties, then you are in the right place with your home party plan business. You are responsible for planning, creating, and organizing successful fun friendly home parties!
The advantages of home party businesses are that you can be as creative as you want, you get to attend/host home parties all the time and you get to attend home parties all the time! Because people have busy weekday schedules, the biggest disadvantage you are facing is that you will be hosting many a home party on the weekend. Also, you’ll have to do a lot of the preparation and cleaning.
Thankfully you don’t need to deal with crying toddlers, oscar the grouch copy cats annoyed parents and the all too peppy cheer-leading teens, those who cannot hold their liquor and other sticky messes. But you will pick up some leadership skills!
Here are a few things you can do to jazz things up
1. In home show party games, make it even more fun by having a guest-book for suggestions about games to play at home parties.
2. Have a goal to throw at least once a month, a home party that is themed, keep it alive, keep it fresh.
3. You have heard this before, the fortune is in the follow up. In order to increase home party sales and profits, attract home party business builders and home party recruits follow up and follow through!
Follow Up involves making sure that your home party attendees get their products. Find out what they liked and what they did not like. Inform your home party sales roster of upcoming events, special and discounts. Randomly send your home party sales list gifts and samples that they maybe interested in relative to their previous purchases.
To do so make sure you have an email list. *Do not Spam* instead drip information, regularly. Once a week is best. Supplement your communication with post cards. The personal touch goes a long, long way!
Follow through involves getting your home party opportunities out and setting up your home party recruits and home party sales representatives and home party consultants off on the right foot. In other don’t sign up people only to ditch them!
4. Attend at 2-3 home parties outside your area of interest a month (find a competing home party sales representative to sweeten the deal, be sure to friendly home parties etiquette please). You know there is not a better way to learn than to attend a home party hosted by another. Take notes or record the proceedings. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Compliment the hosting home party consultant on anything you found valuable and be courteous, ask for permission to implement the strategies.
5. Be sure to have a home party planner checklist, party plan organizer in your home party planner arsenal!
