Hey, y’all! Glad you are back. Now for the good stuff. The how to’s of staging a successful home party demo! Watch out for the videos!

#1 – Clean. Your home must sparkle! What is that old adage? Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

#2 – Eliminate Clutter. The “50% Rule” requires that you eliminate the clutter in your home party demonstration area by at least half. This may be the hardest rule of all! We love our clutter – - it reflects our memories, hobbies, and values. Clutter makes spaces seem smaller and disorganized. (Have you ever noticed that the really expensive stores seem to have an expansive, clutter-free layout, while “cheap” stores are often a jumble of merchandise?) Even the ancient practice of Feng Shui has as a central focus the elimination of clutter. {Many modern enthusiasts claim that feng shui is the practice of arranging objects (such as furniture) to help people achieve their goals. More traditionally, feng shui is important in choosing a place to live and finding a burial site, along with agricultural planning.Proponents claim that feng shui has an effect on health, wealth and personal relationships.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feng_shui}

#3 – De-personalize. Remove objects that your potential home party plan recruits and customer will not be able to identify with. For example, political and religious items may turn off whole groups of potential home party recruits, because they cannot “imagine” your home as their home. Choosing to make a purchase or affiliate oneself with home party opportunites is an emotional decision, and you want potential customers to make an emotional connection with your home party plan demonstration by being able to “see” themselves doing it!

#4 – Use fresh flowers. Throughout the house, and definitely in your home party staging area. Always fresh. Only fresh.

#5 – Utilize Vingettes. Vignettes are groupings of accessories, usually in threes. “It could be three pieces of art on the wall; it also could be candlesticks, something tall, medium and short,” says Pinnell. “It’s about shapes and color,” she says of the vignettes, which help draw the visitor through the room and make the room visually interesting – Think AberCrombie & Fitch, you know those really yummy well chiseled models? Yes it’s all about eye candy.

# 6 – Light It Up. “You want as much light to come in as possible,” says Possidente-Ruiz. Well lit spaces communicate comfort and are very inviting. The idea here is to encourage others to feel like they can live like you! They can use your party plan products because they are just like you!

#7 – Keep it current. As much as possible, you want your home party plan demonstration to give off the air of being up-to-date, trendy even! The idea here is mesh your consultant supplies, party plan products with everyday life! People resist change. If you make it so it seems natural and just the way of life, well can I get a cha-ching?
