I'm writing a novel. Much of my research has been online – it was a necessary investment of time, but I've probably done enough. Yet I still get bogged down, verifying small details as I encounter them, rather than keeping focused on the big picture.

I read your comment, and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I have been treating my time as worthless.

Well, darn it all! I'm better than that – and so are all your clients and readers.

You have given me one of the most concise and insightful one-liners on the value of the Internet. Free information is good, information is worth something – but too much free information becomes worthless. And that is why I think you are offering something of value.

“Yes, the internet is free, but only if your time is worthless!”
