I got to thinking about how so many of us claim to be in business, but in actuality we are in busyness.  Allow me to explain.

Lets look at the time tested, proven money making PARTY PLAN COMPANY marketing strategies!

*Driving all over town meeting ‘hot prospects’ lunching, wining and dining ‘non-starters’ with no vision. How much do recruits get paid to do home parties? Have you seen the gas prices lately?

*Here is my personal favorite, the list of 100 of your closest family and friends! Do you even know 100 people? Like really? Ha, there is nothing like getting into a business to really discover you don’t have close family and friends.  Bottom line money talks and they are not going to part with it for you. Reality Bites! A great waste of time and many a relationship has suffered!

*Another one that I love is the ‘Must have product samples’ look people will use you and abuse you.  How many doggy bags have you actually received back, with sign ups?  How many people use the product, you know like dine and ditch?  Who is out hundreds of dollars? How much time have you wasted trying to track those samples down?

*More importantly how much time have you wasted being angry, scared, afraid answering emails, surfing the net, chatting on the phone with friends afraid to ask for the sale?

*Attending every hotel meeting, conference call, teleseminar, basically getting ready to get ready to get ready to do nothing!

Why did you get involved in business?  Surely not to spend all day on the phone dialing for dollars, then waste precious gas chasing after prospects.

Do you have set office hours?  I mean even if the world is coming to an end, do those near and dear to you know not to bother you during your office hours?  Probably not!  You are too busy responding to emergencies and failing to take care of that which will change your life so that you no longer have to respond to emergencies!
